After a goalless draw at home against 8th in the table Dong Nai on 6 July, SHB Da Nang dropped into 2nd place in the V-League 2013, but they are only one point behind leaders Hoang Anh Gia Lai and have one game in hand.  On Saturday at 4.30pm they have the chance to take over the top spot once again when they play HAGL at the Pleiku Stadium.

SHB DN’s coach Le Huynh Duc and his squad are cautious of the power of HAGL because they have never beaten their opponents at the Pleiku Stadium in the last 3 seasons.

Recently, HAGL have impressed after their 1-0 home win over Vicem Hai Phong, a 3-0 away win over Kien Giang, and 1-1 away draw against SHB DN.  Although HAGL have never won any football championships in the last 8 years, they are trying to keep their hold on the league as secure as possible.

According to some football experts, apart from being effective in defence to stop any attacks by their rivals, SHB DN should also take the initiative to make continuous and varied attacks.  This should help them to produce a breathtaking performance.

SHB DN have just won the award for the most outstanding football team during June, whilst their coach Le Huynh Duc has been named the best coach.  This is extra motivation for the team as they try to protect their status as defending champions.
