Contest launched to design ceremonial costume
On Thursday the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched a contest to design a ceremonial costume which will be worn at national and international events. This will help to honour and promote the Vietnamese cultural identity, and improve its position in the international arena.
The contest is open to domestic or foreign, amateur or professional, designers but contestants must be over 18-years-old.
They are required to design 4 costumes featuring traditional and modern styles for both men and women. In addition, the uniform design should include shoes and hats, or turbans if required.
Entries should be sent to the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions at 38 Cao Ba Quat Street, Ba Dinh District, Ha Noi, between 1 August and 5 October.
