The 4^th German Film Festival opened in Da Nang with the showing of Christian Petzold’s film “Barbara” which won silver in the 2012 German Film Awards and the Silver Bear for Best Director at the Berlin International Film Festival.  The  festival is taking place from 13 - 18 September at the Le Do Cinema, 46 Tran Phu Street.

The Da Nang Cinema and Film Distribution Centre said that the 400-seater cinema has been full of movie lovers over the weekend.  The German films have helped local moviegoers to understand more about the land and people of Germany.  Other films shown included “Victor and the Secret of Crocodile Mansion”, “Kaddish for a Friend”, and “Animals United - Adventure in Africa”.

The films “Stopped on Track”, “Home for the Weekend”, and “Sound of Heimat - Germany Sings!” are being screened on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
