Thirty-seven receptionists from 1 to 5-star hotels in Da Nang participated in the preliminary round of the 2013 Da Nang Hotel Receptionist Competition 2013 which was held in the city on Thursday.

Organised by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event provided the opportunity for its participants to share their experiences, as well as to improve the quality of their customer services.

At the event, the contestants competed in two categories - professional skills and a foreign language of their choosing.  The 10 best contestants from this preliminary round will advance into the final, which will take place at the Hoang Anh Gia Lai Plaza Hotel on 27 September.

Between 3 and 5 of the top finalists will attend the National Hotel Receptionist Competition 2013 which is being held in Hai Phong City in October.
