National athletes train hard in Da Nang for 27th SEA Games
The forthcoming 27th SEA Games will officially take place at the Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw City, Myanmar, in only 2 months’ time. In an attempt to bring as much success as possible to Viet Nam, the coaches and athletes in the national track and field, swimming, boxing and taekwondo teams are training hard at the Da Nang branch of the National Sports Training Centre located at 43 Dung Si Thanh Khe Street, Thanh Khe District.
The national track and field team are aiming to bring home five gold medals, whilst the boxing team are hoping for at least one. In swimming, Vietnamese team hopes that Da Nang’s talented swimmer Hoang Quy Phuoc will have many successes at the games. Doan Thi Huong Giang, also from Da Nang, won a gold medal at the 11th ASEAN Taekwondo Championships in Myanmar in May and she should play a vital role in clinching a gold for the Taekwondo team.
