Nine works by members of the Da Nang Union of Literature and Arts Associations are to be nominated for the 2013 Viet Nam Literature and Arts Awards.

Two are photos taken by members of the Artistic Photographers Association, namely “Em Be Cotu” (A Co Tu Ethnic Minority Girl) by Dang Van No, and “Chot Mua” (A Sudden Rain) by Nguyen Van Thanh.

In addition, two are songs from the Musicians Association - “Dat Que Cha” (Ancestral Homeland) which features lyrics by Nguyen Viet Tu and music by Nguyen Van Tam, and “Da Nang Toi Yeu” (Da Nang – My Beloved City) by Ton That Bang.

A memoir entitled “Cha Toi” (My Father) by Bui Cong Dung is from the Literature Association.

Two more are from the Folk Arts Association.  They are the research and collection of Da Nang’s Village Communal Houses by Ho Tan Tuan, Nguyen Xuan Thong and Dinh Thi Toan, and the collection and compilation of parallel folk sentences in Han-Nom characters (Chinese characters and Chinese-transcribed Vietnamese) by Phan The Tap.

The remaining two are from the Fine Arts Association.  They are the oil painting “Lang Nghe Doc Bao” (Reading Newspapers) by Tran Duc Hung, and a mica sculpture “Hanh Phuc Cua Me” (The Happiness of Mother) by Huynh Thi Thang.
