Deadline extended for Tourism Logo and Slogan Design Contest
To date, none of the entries in Da Nang’s Tourism Logo and Slogan Design Contest 2013 has met the contest’s requirements. This information was announced on Tuesday morning by the head of the contest’s judging board, painter Hoang Trong Dung.
As a result, the deadline for the contest has been extended to 29 March 2014, and the awards ceremony will be held on 30 April 2014.
In addition, the value of the prizes for the winning logo and slogan will be increased to attract more contestants. The judging panel will also be enlarged by the addition of some nationally-renowned art specialists and professional logo and slogan designers.
The organisers have so far chosen the best 20 logos to go through to the final round of the competition. The designers of these logos, which all depict typical characteristics of Da Nang, will receive assistance from the contest’s organisers to either improve their existing entries or design new ones.
The best entries will be widely displayed across the city for a public vote before the judging board selects the logo and slogan winners.
