Museum of Da Nang receives 70 donated items
The Museum of Da Nang last Friday hosted a ceremony to receive 70 objects, all relating to the history of the city, which have been donated to the museum by war veterans and collectors from Da Nang and beyond.
They include 22 keepsakes of the city’s war veterans from the two resistance wars for independence, 5 artifacts of war remnants, and 6 items showcasing the specific cultural values of Vietnamese ethnic groups. In addition, there are 23 precious antiquities and a sketch by the late painter Do Toan.

On the same day, an exhibition entitled “Back to the Roots” opened at the museum and will run until 20 December. It showcases 45 pictures from the 1940s and 1950s by painters from the Indochina College of Fine Arts. The pictures were created by such famous artists as Luong Xuan Nhi, Nguyen Duc Nung, Nguyen Tien Chung, Hoang Tich Chu, Do Dinh Hiep, Nguyen Sien, Nguyen Trung, and Cao Ba Minh. These works are making their first public appearance at this exhibition.
