Prize value increased for Tourism Logo and Slogan Design Contest
The organisers of Da Nang’s Tourism Logo and Slogan Design Contest 2013 have recently extended the deadline for the contest to 20 March 2014, and the awards ceremony will now be held on 30 April 2014.
In addition, the value of the prizes for the first prize winner has been increased to 100 million VND. This aims to attract more entries, as well as to encourage the designers of the best selected logos to date to either improve their existing entries or design new ones.
An exhibition featuring the 20 logos chosen to go through to the final round is scheduled to be held in the city between 8 and 18 April 2014.
The judging panel has already been enlarged by the addition of some nationally-renowned art specialists and professional logo and slogan designers. They include the Head of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, Mr Vi Kien Thanh, and the President of the Marketing Association of Ho Chi Minh City and representative of the World Marketing Association, Mr Tran Hoang.
