Ten outstanding designs selected for Hoang Sa Exhibition House
After two rounds of judging the forty-three entries in the contest to design the Hoang Sa (Paracel Islands) Exhibition House, the contest’s Judging Board on Wednesday morning selected their ten best designs. They all capture the spirit of independence and autonomy of the Vietnamese people in protecting the nation’s sacred sovereignty over its territorial waters and islands.
The Chairman of the Hoang Sa Islands District People's Committee (PC) and Vice Chairman of the contest’s Judging Board, Mr Dang Cong Ngu, said that the judges had found it difficult to select the best designs among the numerous high-quality entries with distinctive characteristics.

The ten selected designs will now be displayed at an exhibition which will be held at the city’s College of Foreign Languages from 9 - 15 January. The event will mark the 40th anniversary of the day China completed their military occupation of Viet Nam's Hoang Sa Islands (19 January 1974).
The selected designs will also be presented on a website of the Hoang Sa Islands District PC at http://hoangsa.danang.gov.vn to seek votes from local residents. The design receiving the highest number of votes will be the one selected for construction of the exhibition house.
