Female football squad to train overseas
The 23-members of the Viet Nam women’s national football team depart for China on April 11 for a month-long training camp to hone their professional skills before competing in the final round of the upcoming Asian Cup 2014.
During their training in Guangzhou, the Vietnamese footballers will face off with the Guangdong team in a friendly match.
After the course in China, they will fly to the Republic of Korea for additional training on April 26 in Paji city, about 70km from Seoul. They will play in a friendly match in May 7 with Korean female squad – one of promising candidates in Group B at the final round of Asian Cup 2014.
Under the lead of chief coach Tran Van Phat, the Vietnamese women team is expected to gain more experience from matches against Huyndai FC on May 1 and May 4.
The team will reassemble in Ho Chi Minh City on May 9 to make final preparations for their competition at Asian Cup 2014 finals on May 14.
