The Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr Le Khanh Hai, has recently made an inspection visit to Da Nang to check the preparations for the 5^th Asian Beach Games (ABG5) which will be held in the city in 2016.  He visited the venues for opening and closing ceremonies, the locations to be used for the competitions, and some of the food and accommodation establishments for ABG5’s participants.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that ABG5 would feature football tournaments, dragon boat races, windsurfing, martial arts, and some water sports activities.  The events are scheduled to be held along My Khe Beach from Son Tra District’s Man Thai Ward to Ngu Hanh Son District’s Hoa Hai Ward. 

ABG5 will take place in Da Nang, Nha Trang and Binh Thuan Province.  It will attract participants from about 40 countries and territories in Asia, and they will compete in a total of 24 beach sports.
