The 2014 Da Nang Open Tour Guiding Competition has been taking place in the city over the last 2 days.  Jointly organised by the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with the city’s Travel Association and Tour Guide Club, the event has attracted 53 tour professional and freelance guides from the city and elsewhere in the central region and highlands. 

The competition aims to provide a useful and practical experience for the participants, as well as the opportunity to demonstrate their professional skills and improve their knowledge.  This will help to improve the quality of the local tour guide service, as well as contribute significantly to advertising the tourism images and special characteristics of the culture, land and people of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, to visitors from both home and abroad.
