Thanks to the great efforts of the Da Nang Badminton Federation (DBF), many badminton events have been successfully held in the city over recent years.  The DBF has always done its utmost to appeal for financial assistance from nationwide sponsors for its events.  This has helped to promote the development of the city’s badminton sector in a sustainable manner.

In particular, the 1^st Da Nang Badminton Tournament for Women⁺, which is taking place at the city’s Tien Son Sports Arena from 17 - 19 October, is funded by the Tran Cuisine Company, Ha Noi’s 999 badminton firm, and the Linh Dan Company.  The purpose of the event is to celebrate the founding anniversary of the Viet Nam Women's Union (20 October), as well as to show DBF’s efforts in increasing the involvement of women in local sports activities.

The Director of the Tran Cuisine Company, Mrs Tran Thi Thu Thuy, said that her company decided to sponsor this tournament because of the meaningful purpose of the event.  She affirmed that her company is willing to continue sponsoring the tournament to help it become an annual event in the city.
