The 1^st Da Nang Badminton Tournament for Women⁺ will take place at the city’s Tien Son Sports Arena from 17 - 19 October.  Organised by the Da Nang Badminton Federation, the event is funded by the Tran Cuisine Company, Ha Noi’s 999 badminton firm, and the Linh Dan Company.    

Over 250 players and coaches are expected to participate from badminton clubs in Da Nang and the provinces of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Thua Thien-Hue, and Khanh Hoa.  Some of the players are members of the city’s strongest badminton clubs such as Tran, Ngoc Hanh, Song Thu, and Nguyen Du.

The contestants will compete in women's doubles and mixed doubles categories in 7 age groups (the youngest age group is 18 to 30, and the oldest for over 56s).  In addition, there will be women's doubles and mixed doubles championships for players of all ages. 

The total prize value will be around 178.2 million VND.
