The 2014 Da Nang Open Futsal tournament for the DRT Cup is taking place at Da Nang’s Tien Son Sports Arena from 9 - 15 October.  This year’s event is being co-organised by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Da Nang Radio and Television (DRT) Station.

The participating teams include: Kim Toan FC, Thang Loi FC, Hoang Thu, NP Co, Song Lam Da Nang, Hoang Anh Tho, and Coach Station from Da Nang, along with Thai Son Nam and Sanatex HCMC both from Ho Chi Minh City, and An Phuoc Hospital from Binh Thuan Province.

In addition to the cup, medals and souvenir flags, the top 4 teams in the tournament will be presented with cash prizes.  The champions will be awarded 15 million VND, with 7 million VND going to the second-placed team.  The teams finishing third and fourth will receive 5 million VND and 3 million VND respectively.  In addition, prizes for the best fair play team, top goalscorer, and best goalkeeper will be 1 million VND each.

The opening match of the tournament, between Kim Toan FC and Hoang Anh Tho, will be screened on DRT Channel at 3.30pm today (9 October), and the final will be broadcast live on the same channel at 3pm on 15 October.
