Taekwondo martial artists grabbed two bronze medals on day 13 of the 17^th Asian Games (Asiad) in Incheon, Republic of Korea (RoK), increasing Viet Nam’s medal tally to 35 – one gold, 10 silvers and 24 bronzes.

Pham Thi Thu Hien got Viet Nam’s first taekwondo bronze medal after failing 2-9 to the host country’s Lee Dabin in the women’s under-62kg semifinal.

Hien’s teammate, Ha Thi Nguyen added another bronze to Viet Nam’s collection as a result of her 2-5 semifinal defeat against another RoK opponent, Lee Wonjin in the women’s under-67kg category.

Earlier in the Thursday morning, karate artist Nguyen Hoang Ngan earned Viet Nam the 10^th silver medal after losing to Japan’s Kiyou Shimizu in the women’s Kata (demonstration) final.
