Bilateral cooperation established with Institute of Archaeology
The Da Nang Cultural Heritage Management Centre and the Viet Nam Institute of Archaeology recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote archaeological cooperation in the 2015 - 2020 period.
Under the agreement, the focus will be on conducting surveys and creating scientific documents on local relic sites over the historical periods. In addition, importance will be attached to monitoring archaeological excavations at local relic sites, and researching into the findings. Special attention will be paid to appraising any artifacts found, releasing publications on archaeological culture, and jointly organising more conferences and seminars. These activities will aim to conserve and promote the cultural value of archaeological sites across the city.

The cost of the implementation of the MoU will come from budgets of the city’s Cultural Heritage Management Centre and the Viet Nam Institute of Archaeology, along with donations from individuals and research organisations both at home and abroad.
