Eleven oil paintings given to Fine Arts Museum

The 2014 Da Nang Oil Painting Camp, which had “Da Nang’s People and their Lives” as its theme, ended successfully in the city on Saturday.

The event, the first of its kind in the city, attracted many famous painters from inside and outside the city.  Eleven out of the 23 oil paintings which were created during the camp have been selected to be given to the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum. 

Five of the selected 11 were created by local painters.  They were “Ngay Moi” (A New Day) by Duy Ninh, “Nhung Neo Han” (Paths along the Han River) by Nguyen Trong Dung, “May Son Tra” (Clouds over the Son Tra Peninsula) by Vu Duong, “Mat Thuyen” (The Boat’s Eyes) by Than Trong Dung, and “Nang Thu Ben Song Han” (Autumn Sunlight on the Han Riverbank) by Hoang Dang. 

Four others selected are by painters from Ho Chi Minh City - “Niem Vui Ra Khoi” (The Joyfulness of Heading to Sea) by Ho Minh Quan, “Mu Suong Ba Na” (Fog over the Ba Na Hills Resort) by Ca Le Thang, “Binh Minh Tho Quang” (The Tho Quang Fishing Wharf at Dawn) by Nguyen Phu Hau, and “Dat Thieng” (The Sacred Land) by Le Xuan Chieu.

The remainder are “Ky Uc Song Han” (Memories of the Han River) by Le Tri Dung from Ha Noi, and “Chieu Non Nuoc” (the Marble Mountains in the Afternoon) by Le Thanh Tung from Long An Province.
