Man with antique copper pots
Mr Nguyen Duc from Da Nang’s Lien Chieu District is famous for the design of his old-style, tile-roofed family worship house, which is completely different to others in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province. His valuable 10-piece set of antique copper pots has also made him famous amongst those who indulge in traditional Vietnamese cultural values.
Initially, Mr Duc possessed only 4 copper pots which had been passed down through 4 generations. The special characteristics and the cultural value of the heirlooms motivated him to collect the 6 remaining ones in the set. He bought back one of the 6 pots from a Co Tu ethnic minority family in the mountainous district of Dong Giang, Quang Nam Province.

Mr Duc also remarked that the items are considered to be his family’s precious treasures, and they help the descendants learn more about the life of their predecessors.
