Music for host team's performance at DIFC 2015 announced
The 2015 Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC 2015) is being held on 28 and 29 April next year and it will take “The Symphony of Colours” as its theme.
The host team Da Nang-Viet Nam recently selected the music that it will use to support its display at the event. Unlike in previous contests, the team’s fireworks performance will include the lyrical melodies of popular songs written by renowned domestic musicians.

The performance will be divided into 4 parts. The 1st will feature the songs “Dong Mau Lac Hong” (The Descendants of Dragons and Fairies) and “Mua Thu Que Huong” (The Hometown Autumn), which are respectively composed by domestic musicians Le Quang and Pham Thuy Hoan. The first song conveys a message of the Vietnamese people’s deep pride in their origins, whilst the latter highly praises Viet Nam’s beautiful landscapes and its hard-working citizens.

The 2nd part will be performed to the songs “Dat Nuoc Tron Niem Vui” (The Nation being Full of the Joys of Reunification) and “Noi Dao Xa” (Far Away Islands), which are respectively composed by musicians Hoang Ha and The Song. These songs show the Vietnamese people’s love for their country, especially its sea and islands, as well as their strong conviction that the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos are integral parts of Viet Nam’s territory.
The 3rd part of the performance will highlight “Nhip Dieu Thanh Pho” (Rhythm of the City) by musician Tran Ai Nghia which reflects the image of Da Nang as a young and dynamic city. This song will be followed by We Are the World written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. The use of this world-renowned song is intended to show Da Nang’s strong aspirations for peace and global integration.
In the final part, the host team will produce their firework crescendo to the enchanting melodies of Sonate No 8 by German composer Ludwig van Beethoven. This will allow the host team to introduce the significance of the competition’s meaningful theme to international friends.
