"Panoramic Views of Da Nang" exhibition being held until 5 February

An exhibition featuring the 89 most outstanding photos in the "Panoramic Views of Da Nang" artistic photo contest, which was launched in the city on 12 June 2014, is taking place until 5 February at the Fine Arts Museum, 78 Le Duan Street.

The displayed photos showcase the vivid beauty of Da Nang and its remarkable achievements during the local economic, cultural and social renovation progress, especially periods after Da Nang officially became the centrally-governed city in 1997.

To mark this occasion, the city’s Union of Literature and Arts Associations awarded one first, two second, three third and five consolation prizes to the contest’s outstanding contestants.

First prize went to “Ca Ba” (Third Working Shift) by photographer Vo Trieu Hai.  In addition, “Le Ha Thuy” (A Ceremony to Launch Coastguard Ship 8002) by Nguyen Quang and “Mua Trang” (Season of the Moon) by Huynh Nam Dong, took second prize.  The third prize was shared by “Thanh Pho Len Den” (When the City Lights Up) by Vo Hoang Vu, “Dem Hoi” (A Festive Night) by Nguyen Quang, and “Vuon Ra Bien Lon” (Ready to Head out to Sea) by Quach Luc.  All of these photographers are from Da Nang.

Consolation prizes were awarded to “Huong Ve Bien Dao” (Towards the Country’s Sea and Islands) by Phan Ngoc Hoi, “Ba Na Trong Nang Mai” (Ba Na Hills Resort in the Early Morning Sunlight) by Vo Trieu Hai, “Thong Diep Hoa Binh” (A Message of Peace) by Dang Van No - all from Da  Nang - and “Le Hoi Muc Dong” (The Muc Dong Festival) by Huy Dang from Kon Tum City, and “Khu Do Thi Moi” (New Urban Area) by Vu Ngoc Hoang from Khanh Hoa Province.
