Following approval by the Da Nang People’s Committee, talented local swimmer Hoang Quy Phuoc has gone to Tokyo, Japan for a long-term training course running from 2 February to 31 December.

The 1.6 billion VND training course, funded from the city’s budget, is divided into 2 stages. 

The 1^st stage until 5 June aims to help improve Phuoc’s skills for competing in the 28^th Southeast Asian Games which are being held in Singapore in June.

The 2^nd stage from 15 June to 31 December will help him prepare for the 2016 Summer Olympics which will be held in August in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
