Tet magazines on display at national Spring Press Festival

Last Saturday, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong beat the drum to open the 2015 Spring Press Festival, which is being held at Ha Noi’s Giang Vo Exhibition Centre until 10 February. 

This Viet Nam press sector event, which is held every 5 years, is showcasing the Tet magazines which have been produced to welcome in the forthcoming Tet Festival.

This year’s event features 120 stands of 65 press agencies nationwide.

On display at the stand of the Da Nang Journalists’ Association are the Tet magazines released by the Da Nang Newspaper and the Cong An (Police) Newspaper, along with publications from the local magazines of Non Nuoc (Country), Van Hoa Da Nang (Da Nang Culture), Khoa Hoc va Phat Trien (Science and Development), Sinh Hoat Ly Luan (Life and Theory), and Phat Trien Kinh Te - Xa Hoi Da Nang (The Socio-economic Development of Da Nang), plus the Nguoi Lam Bao Da Nang (Da Nang Journalists) special issue.

After the opening ceremony on 7 February, Party General Secretary Trong visited the display stands including that of the Da Nang Journalists’ Association.

The country’s leader highly applauded the participating press agencies for this year’s abundance of eye-catching Tet magazines and their diversified contents.  He said that they have helped readers to gain an insight into last year’s national achievements.

He also expressed his belief that domestic journalists would make every effort to improve their professional skills in order to fulfil their assigned tasks well in the years ahead.
