At 8.35pm yesterday, the magnificent fireworks displays of the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC 2015) began with an impressive show by Team South Africa.

With their theme of ‘African Blue Sky', the 6-member team’s performance depicted a journey of sorts, which took the spectators on a brief tour through the last few decades of the colour and history of South Africa.  After all, this country is known as the Rainbow Nation, a land full of rich colours.  The team enchanted the spectators with their incredible performance featuring all the colours found in the rainbow, and more.

In particular, the display’s enchanting support music, composed by South Africa artistes, helped to thrill the spectators.  There were sparkling and intriguing shapes painted in the sky, along with a firework crescendo featuring the warmness and wildness of the land and people of South Africa.
