DA NANG Today
Published: April 20, 2015

The 2015 Da Nang Book Festival, which took place on 18 and 19 April at the city’s 29 March Park, attracted a large number of visitors.

The event featured eye-catching stands introducing new and interesting books released by local publishing houses and those involved in the city’s arts and culture sectors.

Most notably, hundreds of books, which were artistically arranged under the theme of the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, left a deep impression on visitors.

In addition, a number of high-quality publications with very varied subjects were introduced at the event.  They included Quang Nam Province’s culture, books and stories for children, Viet Nam's sovereignty over its sea and islands, and practical life skills.

In an attempt to encourage local readers to enjoy books, a wide range of discount programmes were offered at the event.  They included between 5 and 10% discount on all displayed book, and even 50% off on some of them, along with giving free books, and a special "one price" book sale at only 5,000 VND each.

During the 2-day event, numerous interesting activities were also held at the same venue.  They were a fun puzzle game with books presented to the winners, and presentation of 300 free vouchers on soft skill courses for students.
