Various events to mark National Reunification Day
A wide variety of cultural and sporting activities will be taking place across the city to celebrate the 40th anniversary of National Reunification Day (30 April).
A cultural and sports festival of the Cotu ethnic minority group is taking place in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Bac Commune until 18 April.
The 2015 Da Nang Book Festival will be organised on 18 and 19 April at the city’s 29 March Park.
From 18-25 April, an exhibition featuring outstanding photos from the Viet Nam Heritage Photo Awards will be held at the Thoai Ngoc Hau Temple on 15 Ha Thi Than Street in Son Tra District’s An Hai Tay Ward.
Another photo exhibition featuring the city’s socio-economic achievements over the past 40 years will take place at the International Exhibition Fair Centre at 9 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street from 22-26 April.
Local cinema-goers can enjoy documentary films on the liberation of the south and national reunification at the Le Do Cinema, 46 Tran Phu Street from 25-31 April.
The 2015 Da Nang International Culture and Cuisine Festival will take place in a park near the city’s Administration Centre from 26-28 April. In addition, a street music performance will be held at 7.30pm on 25 April on the Bach Dang Street riverside walk.

On 28 and 29 April, the 2015 Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC 2015) will take place with the theme “Symphony of Colours”. The competing teams come from five continents. South Africa, the USA and Da Nang-Viet Nam will perform on 28 April, whilst Australia and Poland will deliver their performances the following evening.

As for local sporting activities, the Da Nang Badminton Tournament is being held at the Tien Son Sport Arena until 20 April. The event has attracted 255 players from 22 outstanding badminton clubs nationwide.

Various exciting activities in the Da Nang Beach Tourism Season 2015 will take place at the Eastern Sea Park on Pham Van Dong Street and on local tourism beaches between 25 April and 2 May. They include cuisine and beach music festivals, a kayak race, a flashmob show, folk games, beach sports performances, non-powered paragliding shows, a photo exhibition, and a cycle race.

Furthermore, an exhibition featuring beautiful photos of the city’s most popular attractions will be organised at the Eastern Sea Park and on the Bach Dang Street riverside walk between 25 April and 1 May.
A parade of impressive cyclos from the city's Tourist Cyclo Team is taking place along local main streets of the city until 27 April.
During the DIFC 2015 period, many interesting tours will also be available for visitors. They will include 'Central Region's Heritage Route with Fireworks Festival', 'Diving to Explore the Coral Reefs and Catch Ocean Fish', and 'Fireworks Festival 2015'.
On 25 April, the Hoang Van Thai extended road linking with the Ba Na Hills Resort will officially be opened to traffic, followed by the inauguration of the resort’s French Village.
