Viet Nam U23 football team to play Thailand, Malaysia

Viet Nam’s Under-23 football team will compete against Thailand and Malaysia in the group stage at the 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore.

During the drawing event in Singapore on April 15, Viet Nam and the two strong rivals fell into Group B, as did Brunei, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and East Timor.
Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, the Philippines and host Singapore were drawn into Group A.
The two top teams in each group will go on to the semifinals.
The football competition will kick off on May 29.
