On Monday, the Cam Hoa Village Communal House Festival took place in Hoa Tho Tay Ward’s Cam Hoa Village, Cam Le District, Da Nang.

Over its 526-year history, the Cam Hoa Communal House, which is dedicated to the founders of the village, has undergone much restoration work.

During the two resistance wars against both the French and the Americans, the communal house was a place where local revolutionary cadres met and encouraged local people to join revolutionary organisations to fight against the invaders.  In addition, hundreds of families in the village became actively involved in providing shelter and food for the revolutionary soldiers.

The Cam Hoa Village and other places in the former Hoa Tho Commune, now known as Hoa Tho Tay Ward, have been honoured with the title of “People's Armed Force Hero”.
