On Friday, the 2nd Da Nang International Lifeguard Competition took place at My Khe beach.
Organised by the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches and the Surf Life Saving Australia, the event attracted over 50 rescuers in 11 teams from renowned seaside holiday resorts in Nha Trang, Hue, Hoi An, Da Nang, Australia, Thailand and the Philippines. They competed in a wide range of categories such as rescue swimming, relay running, coracle racing, and capturing the flag.
The competition aimed to create an opportunity for domestic and foreign lifeguard clubs to exchange their experiences in maritime rescue activities. In particular, the event helped Da Nang’s rescuers to improve their skills.
Danang Today would like to share with our readers some photos, taken by reporter Thu Ha, which reflect the exciting atmosphere of the event.
