The 2015 Football Friendship Tournament for Da Nang’s Expats is taking place at the city’s Tuyen Son Sports Village over this weekend.

Organised by the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, the event gives the opportunity for expatriates living and working in the city to promote sports exchange activities, and enhance friendship and cooperation with each other.

This year’s tournament has 8 teams participating, divided into 2 groups.

Group A: Australian expats and French expats living in Da Nang, the South Korean People's Association in the central region, and the city’s branch of Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank).

Group B: the Association of Taiwanese Businesspeople in Da Nang, Lao expats and US expats living in Da Nang, and the Youth Union organision of the local Department of Foreign Affairs.

Under the competition’s rules, the teams will compete in a round-robin format in the qualifying stages.
