SHB DN face Hai Phong today in National Cup quarter-finals
SHB Da Nang will play Hai Phong in the quarter-finals of the 2015 National Cup at the city’s Chi Lang Stadium today, 24 June, at 5pm. In attendance at the match will be representatives from the UK’s Manchester City Football Club. This should encourage and motivate the local football team to produce a breathtaking performance.
SHB DN’s coach Le Huynh Duc and his squad feel confident ahead of the match after their impressive results prior to the V-League season's 2-month hiatus. They had an unbeaten run of 7 consecutive matches including 4 convincing victories.

In addition, the club has just recruited 2 new foreign strikers, Yaikel Pérez Rousseaux from Cuba and Sean Peter Roy Fraser from Jamaica, as replacements for Melquiades Gomez and Anto Pejic. SHB’s coach Duc is confident that he has a perfect combination in this strike duo because both used to play for the Miami Football Club of the United Soccer League in 2006, and for the Alianza Club in 2012.
There is also optimism because some of the other players, such as Vu Phong, Quoc Anh, Phuoc Vinh, Hai Lam and Minh Tam, have been showing greater maturity with their improved football skills and team spirit.
In contrast, Hai Phong are expected to use defensive and counter-attack tactics in order to make best advantage of their Jamaican strike duo of Stevens and Fagan.
Hopefully, taking advantage of their outstanding players and their flexible attacking styles, SHB DN will earn the win which will take them into the cup semi-finals.
