Following recent instructions from the Da Nang People’s Committee, 4 billion VND and 2.5 billion VND will be spent respectively on floral displays and lighting decorations for the next Tet Festival.  In 2016 the first day of the lunar new year is Monday 8 February.

The 2016 Spring Flower Street will take place along Bach Dang from in front of the city’s Administrative Centre down to the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.  It will feature eye-catching floral decorations which will reflect the joyful and boisterous atmosphere during the Tet festival. 

In addition, some of the city’s major traffic intersections will be decorated with colourful flower towers and pots.  The long-life flowers to be used for the displays will be sourced mainly from Hoa Vang District.

LED lighting systems will be installed at welcome gates along Nguyen Van Linh, Vo Nguyen Giap and 2 September streets.
