Coordination Committee meeting for 5th Asian Beach Games
On Tuesday, a meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Coordination Committee for the 5th Asian Beach Games (ABG 5) took place at the Novotel Danang Premier Han River to discuss preparations for this large-scale international event.
The meeting was attended by a group from the OCA, led by its Honorary Life Vice President Wei Jizhong, and some representatives from the Viet Nam Organising Board for ABG 5.
The participants reached conclusions about the coordination and preparation activities for ABG 5, the list of beach sports and the different categories of competition, the plans for welcoming representatives from the OCA during ABG 5, and the list of local hotels where the international guests, participating teams and referees will stay.

The OCA highly praised the Viet Nam Organising Board for ABG 5 for its great efforts in ensuring good preparations for the event.
Earlier, a group from the OCA and the Board had paid inspection visits to training and competition venues for ABG 5, and to the selected hotels.
ABG 5 is expected to attract around 3,000 athletes from 45 countries and territories in Asia, including about 350 from Viet Nam, a total of 510 leaders of the participating teams and coaches, about 1,400 domestic and international inspectors and referees, 660 volunteers, and a large number of health, security and traffic safety forces.
