After 7 days of competition, the 2015 National Rowing and Canoeing Championships officially concluded last Sunday in Hai Phong City’s Thuy Nguyen District. 

Around 270 athletes, representing 25 teams from across the country, participated in the competition in 20 different rowing and 33 canoeing events.

The Ha Noi team dominated the rowing events, winning 7 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals.  Da Nang finished second with 5 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze, followed by Hai Duong with 3 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze.

In the canoeing competition, the Ha Noi team also topped the medal tables with 13 gold, 11 silver and 3 bronze ahead of runners-up Vinh Phuc with 4 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze.  Binh Thuan came third with 3 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze.

As a result, the Ha Noi team were crowned overall champions with a total of 20 gold, 15 silver and 7 bronze medals.
