Ha Noi T&T became the champions of the 2015 Thanh Nien (Youth) Newspaper U21 Football Tournament after a convincing 2-1 win over An Giang at Ho Chi Minh City’s Thong Nhat Stadium last Sunday.

Ha Noi T&T started the match very well and opened the scoring in the 3^rd minute thanks to striker Pham Van Thanh’s perfect free kick near the penalty area.  Thirty-two minutes later, he doubled their score with a powerful header into the net.

In the 60^th minute, An Giang’s midfielder Thanh Thao scored with an amazing backwards header to narrow the gap to 1-2, but Ha Noi T&T hung on to win the match.

Ha Noi T&T were crowned the champions and gold medal winners, and they received a total of 250 million VND in rewards.  An Giang took the silver medal and 120 million VND, whilst Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Dinh shared the 3^rd prize and each got 60 million VND.

In addition, Pham Van Thanh from Ha Noi T&T won the awards for top goalscorer (7 goals) and the most outstanding player.  Dang Ngoc Tuan from An Giang was named the best goalkeeper, whilst Ho Chi Minh City received the fair play award.

SHB DN won one match but lost 2 in the round-robin stage, but they didn't make it through to the semi-finals.
