Huong Phuoc Village Communal House reopens
After nearly 8 months of restoration, the Huong Phuoc Village Communal House in Hoa Lien Commune, Hoa Vang District officially reopened to the public on Sunday.
Over 2.6 billion VND from the city’s budget has been spent on upgrading the house’s main structure. Over 300 million VND more, collected from the villagers and people who live far away from their homeland, has gone into the building of gardens, fences and entrances to the venue. In addition, there have been material donations, worth over 100 million VND in total, for the house.

During the restoration process, the special architectural characteristics of this village communal house have been preserved to meet the aspirations of local villagers.
Between 1935 and 1937 the house was where local revolutionary cadres organised meetings in secret. In July 2011 it was recognised as a city-level historical and cultural relic, although the house had seriously deteriorated due to the passage of time.
