As part of activities to mark the 23rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and South Korea, the South Korea-Viet Nam Cultural Exchange Festival 2015 will take place at Da Nang’s Tien Son Sports Arena from 10.00am - 9.00pm on 12 and 13 December.

Jointly organised by the Korean Cultural Centre in Viet Nam and the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, the event will feature various exciting activities.

In particular, local movie lovers can enjoy some Korean films being screened inside the arena between 10.30am and 5.00pm each day.  The films are ‘Tam Biet Me Yeu’ (Goodbye Mom), ‘Tham Tu K: Bi Mat Dao Hoang’ (Detective K - Secret of the Lost Island), and some interesting Korean animations.

Fascinating arts performances will be held on both evenings from 7.00pm - 9.00pm.  The official opening ceremony on 12 December will feature exciting performances by the Korean taekwondo demonstration team K-Tigers, along with K-pop band Nonlas and some famous singers from Viet Nam.  On the second evening, the audience will be treated to an impressive non-verbal performance based on the Korean dish Bibimbap (rice mixed with vegetables and beef).  The artistes mimic the sound of making Bibimbap with beat-boxing and a cappella, and demonstrate the motions through b-boying, acrobatics and martial arts.

During the festival, there will be exhibitions introducing South Korean culture and displays of photos featuring the beautiful landscapes and people of Da Nang.  In addition, visitors will have the opportunity have their photos taken wearing the South Korean traditional costume hanbok, and participate in various exciting games.

Admission is free to all visitors.
