Awards presented for 'Clipper Race' photo contest
On Thursday evening, the awards ceremony for the recent Clipper Race photo contest took place at the Hai Chau Book Festival at the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, opposite the Museum of Cham Sculpture.
Between 19 February and 5 March, the contest’s organisers received a total of 636 entries from 65 amateur and professional photographers from across the country.
First prize went to ‘Dem Ruc Ro’ (A Brilliant Night) by Vo Hoang Vu. The second prize was shared by ‘Don Gio’ (Receiving the Wind) by Ho Xuan Mai and ‘Tam Biet Clipper’ (Goodbye Clipper Fleet) by Dang Huu Hung.

Third prizes were given to ‘Rong Vang Phun Lua’ (Golden Dragon Breathing Fire) by Tran Le Xuan Vinh, ‘Cau Chuyen Ky Thu’ (An Amazing Story) by Quang Ba Hai, and ‘Hao Khi Song Han’ (Martial Spirit of the Han River) by Le Duy Minh Quan. Five consolation prizes were also awarded.
An exhibition featuring 50 of the best photos from the contest is being held until 24 April at the Hai Chau Book Festival.
