Street parade of live music and dancing tomorrow evening
A fascinating street show of live music and dancing will take place along a section of Tran Hung Dao between the Rong (Dragon) Bridge and its intersection with Nguyen Thong on Saturday (23 April) between 7.30pm and 9.00pm.
Entitled ‘April’s Dancing Party’, the outdoor show is being co-organised by the Son Tra District People’s Committee and the School of Culture and Arts. It will involve 10 musicians, 20 stilt walkers, and 90 dancers from the school, a dance sport club, the May Xanh (Blue Cloud) Dance Club, and the district’s Youth Union organisation.

The street artists, in eye-catching costumes, will parade along the street. Many different genres of music will be covered, including Latin pasodoble, rumba, tango, cha-cha and disco. Many famous songs will be performed such as K-Way, Granda, Top of the World, ‘Da Nang Oi Chung Con Da Tro Ve’ (Da Nang! We Come Back), ‘Viet Nam Que Huong Toi’ (Viet Nam - My Homeland), and ‘Thanh Pho Tre’ (Young City).
A rehearsal for the main event will take place along the pavement of Ly Nam De 30 minutes prior to the start of the main parade. The performing teams will also introduce some dances to the locals and visitors.
