College of Culture and Arts established
Last Friday, the Da Nang College of Culture and Arts organised a ceremony to announce the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training’s decision to approve the name change to an existing institution. Originally established as the the Quang Nam-Da Nang Culture and Information Professional School in 1977, it was first renamed the Arts-Cultural Pro-Intermediate School of Da Nang in 1998 when it merged with other schools.
Present at the event were Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga, and municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Phung Tan Viet. Addressing the event, Deputy Minister Ga remarked “Training in culture and arts is associated with the preservation and promotion of the special cultural values of this country. The college should focus on enhancing the quality of teaching and renewing its teaching methods, upgrading its facilities, and building moral lifestyles for its students”.
