The organising board of the Da Nang International Marathon 2016 is offering offline registration at Viet Nam TravelMart, 68 Nguyen Thị Minh Khai and Da Nang Souvenirs & Cafe at 34 Bach Dang.

The race organisers said participants in the central region can come to the two above venues for offline registration for all four running distances during working hours from Monday to Friday.

The race also offers online registration for professional and amateur runners at www.rundanang.com before registration closes on July 2-21.

Runners can also register for the marathon at HCM City’s Pulse Active Company, eighth floor, 47 Phung Khac Khoan, District 1.

The race, which has been organised by the city’s Department of Culture and Sports, the World Marathon Company and Pulse Active, is set to feature 5,000 professional and amateur runners in a one-day race along coast line of the Son Tra Peninsula on August 6.

This year will be the event’s fourth year, in which participants can run in a full marathon (42km), half marathon (21km), 10km run and a fun run (5km).

It is the first Vietnamese marathon to be certified by the International Amateur Athletics Association-Association of International Marathons and Distance Races, and consists of a two-lap route.

Last year’s race involved 4,000 participants, 400 of which were professionals from 27 countries and territories.

The city said those who participated in the Da Nang International Marathon would qualify for the Boston Marathon.

The city said the annual marathon would be an attraction for domestic and foreign tourists visiting the coastal city.
