Newborns Vietnam Run Out in Da Nang
Athletes from 59 nations across the world, who will compete in the VNG Ironman 70.3 Vietnam, took part in a charitable run, called Newborns Vietnam Run Out, in Da Nang on May 6.

The 2.8 km run from the Hyatt Regency Da Nang Resort & Spa to the Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children aims to raise public awareness of the project funded by the UK based – Newborns Vietnam, on improving survival and health for babies born in Da Nang and neighouringl localities.
The project focuses on enhancing the capabilities of medical workers in a bid to mitigate the rate of infant mortality and long-term injury due to lack of proper care.
Newborns Vietnam Run Out forms part of the VNG Ironman 70.3 Vietnam 2016, which was be held on May 8.
This was the 2nd time Vietnam has hosted the VNG Ironman 70.3.
Last year, the race drew over 1,000 athletes from 54 countries and territories. James Cunnama from South Africa and Caroline Steffen from Switzerland won the men’s and women’s VNG Ironman 70.3 Vietnam.
Vietnam is the 30th country in the world and the 8th Asian-Pacific country to host an Ironman triathlon.
