RUN OUT for Newborns Vietnam

DA NANG Today
Published: May 06, 2016

As part of the commitment by the VNG Ironman 70.3 Viet Nam partners to make a difference to the lives of the communities that host Ironman events, the ‘RUN OUT for Newborns Vietnam’ took place in Da Nang today (6 May).

The RUN OUT was 2.8 km from the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa to the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital.

The event raised funds for Newborns Vietnam, a British charity based in the city which works to improve the survival and care of newborn infants in the city and neighbouring provinces.

Last year, a similar event raised over 45,000 USD to buy gifts for many local poor families and to donate 2 incubators to the Neonatal Intensive Care Department at the Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital.  These machines have made a big difference to the life chances of babies that are born too soon, too sick or too small.
