On Tuesday, representatives from Barcelona Football Club met with officials from SHB Da Nang FC, and attended a training course for the club’s young footballers in the city.  The visitors were Mr Toni Claveria, Manager of the club’s Asia Pacific Football Training School project, and Mr Tatt Tam, their Business Development Manager for Southeast Asia.

Mr Claveria said, “We are amazed and impressed by the club’s professional training course.  Asia has great potential for the development of football as both the children and their parents are football lovers.  Therefore, Barcelona FC has already established a representative office in Hong Kong with the intention of promoting the development of football in the region.  As for SHB DN, we need time to consider the establishment of a long-term, cooperative relationship in the near future.  We hope that cooperation with SHB DN will bring mutual benefits to both sides”.

The Chairman of the SHB DN club, Mr Bui Xuan Hoa, expressed his happiness at hearing this news.  However, he still had some worries about a future cooperation agreement with Barcelona FC because his club had previously received similar promises from such internationally famous football clubs as Porto and Manchester City.

SHB DN’s coach, Le Huynh Duc, hoped that the link with Barcelona FC would become reality.  This would be a good chance for the local football sector to access advanced and scientific training methods to promote its stable and effective development.
