The national beach football team gathered on Tuesday in Da Nang to prepare for the upcoming Asian Beach Games (ABG) which will start on 24 September.

19 players are receiving 18-day intensive training under the guidance of coach Truong Cong Tuan.  They are 3 goalkeepers, 9 defenders and 7 strikers

Most of the players are from Da Nang and Khanh Hoa who are the national defending champions and runner-up clubs, respectively.

They will then take part in a competition in China's Ordos City from 20-28 August.

The event will see 7 other teams who will play in a knock-out stage. 4 winning teams will advance to the semi-finals.

Iran, Japan, Oman, Lebanon, Thailand, Bahrain and host China will compete.

It is considered their warm-up for the ABG back home in Da Nang from 24 September to 3 October.
