The 5th Viet Nam heritage photo contest was launched in Ho Chi Minh City on August 2 and it opens to Vietnamese citizens and foreigners.  Joinly organised by the Cultural Heritage Association of the Viet Nam Heritage magazine and the Canon Marketing Viet Nam company, the contest has “Rivers of Viet Nam” as its theme.

Entries can be single or sets of photos highlighting nature, tangible and non-tangible culture of Viet Nam as well as daily life of Vietnamese people.  They are required to send to the email address at cuocthianhdisanvietnam@gmail.com .

At the launching ceremony, Editor-in-chief of the Viet Nam Heritage magazine and Head of the Organising Board Le Thanh Hai said the event aims to advertise the images of Viet Nam and its people to international friends, as well as to raise public awareness of maintaining and preserving the country’s cultural and natural heritages.

The organisers will donate 100 outstanding entries to a community-based charity programme that helps to build flood-resistant houses in disadvantaged areas.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held in Ho Chi Minh City in November.

The 100 best entries will be chosen for display from October until the end of the Tet festival 2017 at tourist attractions, museums and universities in Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Da Nang and Ha Noi.
