The event is scheduled to be held from 15 - 17 September.
Organised by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, the workshop will evaluate the value of cultural heritage during the Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945).
It will also discuss measures to sustainably preserve and promote the value as a means of boosting local tourism.
The workshop will mainly focus on five UNESCO-recognized heritage sites from Viet Nam’s last monarchical reign, as well as tangible and intangible heritage, such as ‘Nha nhac cung dinh Hue’ (Hue Court Music), Hue royal cuisine, and royal antiques.
According to the organisers, the workshop is expected to be attended by some 200 representatives who are all local and international researchers and scientists.
Among them, there will be 20 foreign delegates from well-known universities and research institutes in South Korea, Japan, France, and Germany.
The event will open on 15 September with an exhibition on Viet Nam’s name and capital from the beginning to 1945.
