Economic development and living standard improvement have affected the lives of Vietnamese people. Hustle life in big cities is sometimes too demanding and people are likely to sacrifice their health or time with family for success or material values. But there would be time when we ask ourselves if we are living a full life? What make us feel most fulfilled? Interesting findings from a recent survey conducted by Abbott with the participation of more than two million people all over the world can give us an insight in to what a full life means.

What makes people feel most fulfilled?

With the wish to encourage people to live a happy, healthy and full life, Abbott, a global healthcare company, has conducted a survey about what living a full life means and factors that help people live life to the fullest. Nearly two million people around the world have answered questions through online questionnaires, social channels and many onsite events in more than six months.

The survey has pointed out an interesting finding: family connection is key to a full life. Among the people surveyed, when being asked what makes them feel the most fulfilled, more than 32% said that family is the main factor for a full life; while other factors are success, giving and health, at 12%, 8% and 7%, respectively.

In terms of what they wished for their kids, more than 40% of the respondents said they want good health (41%), followed by great adventure (29%), and career success (17%).

The survey also revealed that health is one of the main factors that lead to a full life. It means that many people around the world agree with that point of view.

Ms. Elaine Leavenworth, senior vice president, chief marketing and external affairs officer, Abbott said: “Living a full life begins with health. That's our belief at Abbott, and our survey found that many people around the world agree. We hope that by inspiring people to think about what matters most to them and providing insight into ways to overcome key barriers in their lives, we will help people do more of what they love with the people they love.”

“Ultimately, we want to help people live the fullest, healthiest life possible. Understanding more about what people value the most and what gets in their way will help us serve them better," said Leavenworth.

With these global insights and as part of a global healthcare company's effort to encourage others to live life fully, Abbott is developing a series of tips/hacks that will help overcome some of the barriers uncovered in the global survey. These tips have been shared on the website http://www.LifetotheFullest.abbott so that people around the world can refer to and apply them to their daily lives.
