A photo exhibition, entitled ‘Forever Resounding the Heroic Spirit of Viet Nam’, is taking place in front of the Da Nang People's Council headquarters on Bach Dang until 3 September.  The displayed photos showcase the glorious journeys of the Vietnamese revolution, and the country’s magnanimous historical milestones during its struggles for reunification, reconstruction and redevelopment.

Another exhibition, entitled ‘Da Nang - Achievements and Progress during 30 Years of Innovation’, is being held at the Museum of Da Nang, 7.30am - 4.30pm daily until 15 September.  The admission fee is 20,000 VND per person.  On display are over 100 documents and photos which feature the construction and development of the city over the past 3 decades.

In addition, an exhibition featuring outstanding photos from the recent city-level artistic photo contest, themed ‘The Land and People of the South Central Region and Highlands’, is taking place at the General Science Library until 5 September.  It features 70 photos which show the beauty of the land and the people in the region, along with the remarkable achievements in social, economic and cultural development.  In addition, the photos depict the regional construction and protection progress for the nation’s sea and islands.

At 8.00 pm tonight (1 September) a musical performance, which has ‘Songs of the Homeland’ as its theme, will be held in the park near the eastern end of the Han River Bridge.  The event will feature fascinating songs and dance items performed by artistes from the Trung Vuong Theatre.

On 2 September, the 2016 Open Traditional Boat Race for the VTV Da Nang Branch Cup will start at 7.30 am on the Han River.  Around 200 competitors, from 9 male and 7 female teams in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province, will take part.

At 7.30pm on 3 September, a musical show entitled ‘Towards the Beloved Sea and Islands’ will be held on the stage near the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.  The audience will be treated to impressive song and dance items which showcase the beauty of the country, and praise the Vietnamese people’s great love for the nation’s sea and islands, as well as honour Vietnamese naval soldiers and fishermen who are willing to sacrifice their lives to safeguard national sovereignty.
